Other Broadcasting Departmental Descriptions

Like any other industry, the Broadcast Industry has a number of corporate functions. Some of those departmental descriptions are listed below.

Finance - The Broadcast Industry has Finance departments that provides Accounting Standards and financial expertise for the Company. Finance owns the accounting Policies and Procedures, and they prepare the company Financial Results. They are also responsible for Records Management. Positions can vary within Finance departments from Accounts Payable Clerk, Data Entry, Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, Treasury, Corporate Tax and Records Technicians.

Information Technology (I.T) - I.T. ensures systems are continuously up and running and works with other departments to build better processes and systems. Positions within a Broadcast I.T. department range from Technical Support, Network Administration and Telecommunications Analyst to Programming, Business/Project Analysis and Web Development and Integration.

Human Resources - We offer services to the businesses that support organizational development, recruitment and induction, talent management, learning and development, compensation, employee relations & coaching, rewards & recognition, benefits, health & safety, legal compliance, information management and reporting, change management and employee communications.

Facilities and Administration - Responsible for managing the facilities and maintenance of the building, mail distribution, travel and administration functions. There are a number of jobs within Facilities and Administration ranging from Office Services/Mailroom, Facilities Coordinators, Reception and Travel.

Programming - Employees working in a programming department are usually responsible for creating a schedule of programs that brings our viewers to the channels, keeps them there and keeps them coming back for more! Positions within a programming department include Programming Coordinators, Program Managers, Production Executives, Program Schedulers and Presentation Producers.

Operations, Engineering and Post Production - Operations ensures that we are on-air 24/7, Engineering ensures that all equipment is in good working order at all times and Post Production makes sure we all look great on air! There are a wide range of great opportunities within this area of our business. Some of these include Master Control Operators, Quality Control, Library Coordinators, Technicians, Broadcast Designers, Post Audio, Closed Captioning and Editing.

Sales - Sales teams sells advertising on the networks. There are many behind the scenes positions that help to support these sales and ensure everything runs smoothly. Areas such as Traffic, Research, and of course our sales teams that are comprised of Sales Executives, Key Account Coordinators, and Sales Support Administrators.
